We are God's Steward. Are we?

Who's to blame about the flood?
It is a natural calamity.

Forty two [42] years or almost a half of a century that Manila never suffered such furious flooding. Perhaps its a good sign of change not just in Manila but to the country as a whole. There are three points of ideas that plays in my mind while watching the flood updates in Manila. With all the freedom, let me share it to you readers.

1.
The congestion within its drainage system. Our irresponsibility of dealing with our biodegradable and non-biodegradable garbages is now telling us "what a shame to all of you." Itapon nyo ng wasto ang basura nyo! Don't just throw it anywhere.

2. The government corruption. Thinking of 42 years...ohhhh people...can make you sick. You know why? Multi-corporations can build tall buildings in two years costing a billion or more. But the country can't make a good drainage system like in Singapore for 42 years? What happen? Where are those funds intended for development?

3.
The illegal cutting of trees in our forest. Our trees has the great role in nature. But since we are after development, good landscape, etc... our trees takes all the risks. Well, no more of them hold this kinda phenomenal flooding. So, here we are awaken by great aqua vista along our roads, houses, and establishments.

Whats next to this kind of horror? This devastation of metaphysical evil can be prevented yet we let it happen because of our irresponsibility. We are God's steward or should I say, God Good Steward. Our role is to keep this world a better place to live in. But we are not making it as it should be. I wonder if we learn from this? If we haven't learn anyway, God's hands will make it once more for us till we learn.
