We are God's Steward. Are we?

Who's to blame about the flood?
It is a natural calamity.

Forty two [42] years or almost a half of a century that Manila never suffered such furious flooding. Perhaps its a good sign of change not just in Manila but to the country as a whole. There are three points of ideas that plays in my mind while watching the flood updates in Manila. With all the freedom, let me share it to you readers.

1.
The congestion within its drainage system. Our irresponsibility of dealing with our biodegradable and non-biodegradable garbages is now telling us "what a shame to all of you." Itapon nyo ng wasto ang basura nyo! Don't just throw it anywhere.

2. The government corruption. Thinking of 42 years...ohhhh people...can make you sick. You know why? Multi-corporations can build tall buildings in two years costing a billion or more. But the country can't make a good drainage system like in Singapore for 42 years? What happen? Where are those funds intended for development?

3.
The illegal cutting of trees in our forest. Our trees has the great role in nature. But since we are after development, good landscape, etc... our trees takes all the risks. Well, no more of them hold this kinda phenomenal flooding. So, here we are awaken by great aqua vista along our roads, houses, and establishments.

Whats next to this kind of horror? This devastation of metaphysical evil can be prevented yet we let it happen because of our irresponsibility. We are God's steward or should I say, God Good Steward. Our role is to keep this world a better place to live in. But we are not making it as it should be. I wonder if we learn from this? If we haven't learn anyway, God's hands will make it once more for us till we learn.

God's perspective.

There are two questions that plays on my mind nowadays. I've read these questions many times from various psychology books, yet I am not so certain with my answers. Maybe because the questions require non-academic answer so it took me sometime thinking on how to answer it. The questions are so simple yet complicated that goes like this;

How do you see yourself?
How other people sees you?

Sometimes we are too exaggerated to narrate how we see ourselves. Specially when you are confident enough to say, "hey... I'm this...I'm that..." because we regard ourselves as accomplish person. But the second question is too alarming that you have to research about. We really do not know how other people sees us.

In Old and New Testaments, we can overview some factual experiences which are relevant to our times. Their immediate judgment is base upon their senses. Say for example you came from Galilee or Samaria, you are regarded as no good person. It is trivial. It's like saying the, "You need not go to that place or not to mingle with those people because they are this... they are that..."base upon their senses.

But you know brothers and sisters, God's way is different.

Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us that "His thought are higher than us and so as His ways". He makes the weak strong, and the strong into weaklings. He makes the laughters a mourning to those who are proud of themselves. He uses those who have no capability to present themselves in front of the people to put to shame those who are schooled. The beatitudes reflect God's perspective.

Do you know who you are in front of God?
Will you believe me if I say, "God loves you because you are His masterpiece?

God knows us better. Even when we are yet in the womb of our loving mother, God knows us already. Whatsoever weakness we have and even how other people might regard us, it doesn't matter to Him at all. What matters most is His wonderful plan for each one of us thats why he keeps us on the track to fulfill it.

We are special on God's sight.

Clergy Spouses Sunday

We are heading onward.
Who will go against us when God is with us?
Praise the Lord!!!
God drafted a plan even before the Wesleyan 3rd Millennium UMC was born to call souls for Christ in Brgy. Magsaysay Sur, Cabanatuan City. He had called pillars to build His church in this place. He sketched a plan to prosper the church that it may able to intensify its ministry.
We are called by God and planted here in this church. His challenge for us is to keep his ministry prospering in and out. Let us altogether work for the glory of God.
May His glory shine through us. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.

UMM Alarm.

Genesis 3:9 - But the LORD God called out to the man, "Where are you?"
Man's presence is God's concern. Not only because he is God's creation that is why he is special but also because he is the first and direct recepient of the command to rule over all God's creation.

Man, where are you?

Genesis 2:15 Then the LORD God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to cultivate it and guard it.

Knowing that man's first job is to cultivate and guard the garden God provided for him to live, he diligently prove himself that he is a good steward of earthly things through skills and talents. Even today, man's first concern evolve only to his family, to his workplace, to his community, etc. Thinking about what to eat, what to wear, where to go, what to do, what the future about... is a routine to every man's lifestyle. More of these, one thing is neglected... His Creator.

Instead of delighting himself to the Lord, man is busy. Isn't busyness a sin? If we are more concern about things around us, this means our heart goes with that what we mostly concern about. Man is busy building his own kingdom (family, job status, etc.). How about God's kingdom?

It seems that man is missing inside God's community. He is sounding the alarm saying, "Man, WHERE ARE YOU?

Man, where are you? Let us delight ourselves to God. Let us lead our family draw near to God. Let us be the leaders of God's kingdom on earth. Let us stand as Man of God.

We are stepping forward.

Wesleyan 3rd UMC is now stepping forward thru new ways of celebrating sunday service.

We are thankful to God that He used Naagas Family to blessed the church with a high-end Laptop, Benq LCD projector, LCD Screen, Television, and DVD player.

We are truly blessed this year. Our church attendance is now getting higher every sunday. And hoping we could win more souls to Christ through this new technology that we have.

May the good Lord continually blessed our Pastor and use him as agent of spiritual revival in our church.
